Besides that, there are less leaked details available for the phone. However, the phone has three different security systems to unlock it. The switch to an in-display scanner is a big change for LG, coming off the G8. There are three different authentication methods for unlocking the phone: a rear fingerprint reader, a 3D time-of-flight camera for face scanning, and the bizarre “palm scanning”.
While, talking about other features, the flagship will have slightly bigger 6.2-inch quad HD display. The display is with extremely thin bezels on the sides and slightly thicker bezels on the top and bottom. The phone would measure 159.3 x 75.8 x 8.5mm and it would come with a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm jack and a loudspeaker grille.
The phone would come with a horizontally aligned dual-rear camera setup with an LED flash, which is a departure from the LG G8 ThinQ’s triple rear camera setup. Interestingly, the image render shared by the tipster lack a fingerprint sensor at the back below the camera setup – a feature that has been present in most of LG’s flagship devices including the LG G8 ThinQ.
According to other leaked reports, it will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or Snapdragon 855+ chipset. In addition to this processor, the phone could sport a combination of standard and wide-angle lenses at the back. Other than these, the phone would have an enhanced ‘Dual Screen’ accessory that LG has been teasing recently will apparently be more widely available.
