As the WhatsApp has updated its design, so the user can start the group calls with more ease. Besides, that feature still the call is limited to the four people. The company added a new way to create group calls from the Conversation tab as well.
WhatsApp Group Calls
While talking about the group calls in new WhatsApp design, you can go to the group whose members you want to call, and then tap the icon on the phone top right corner of the screen to get started. From the next screen, touch the contacts in the group you want to call. After that press the voice or video button, depending on the type of call you want to make. With the update, you can tap the new call icon at the top right of the screen, select the contacts you want to call and re-select the voice or video icon again.
On the other hand, the company WhatsApp has issue a warning for the users as well. According the WhatsApp, all the calling members should have dedicated internet. And if they don’t have good internet facility, they will face the problem in connecting. And it may happen that the quality of call will depend on the contact with the weakest connection.
Coming to calls in group, for a smaller group, it’s still a functional way to connect with friends and family without having to tap into your cellular plan’s voice minutes. Calls are also end-to-end encrypted, which makes it a good option for privacy seekers.
