One of the oldest companies in the field of cameras, Panasonic has unveiled its first mirrorless cameras, Lumix S1 and S1R. For last century its founding, Panasonic has struggled to help realize better lives for customers around the world by fulfilling their needs. Working on the concept of creating a new photo culture in the digital era with digital cameras, Panasonic has launched the mirrorless S series. Earlier in digital camera field, the company introduced revolutionary LUMIX G1, the world’s first Digital Single Lens mirrorless camera. Since last decade, Panasonic has continued to lead the industry with an innovation in its products.
Other that this, Panasonic also introduced the world’s first camera, which can support 4K video recording. Not only are those, the cameras equipped with the Dual I.S. (Image Stabilization) system, combining stabilization both inside the camera unit and the lens.
Lumix S1 and S1R
These two new mirrorless cameras Lumix S1 and S1R will have High Resolution Mode and High Dynamic Range ‘HLG Photo’. Coming to this new technology, the “HLG Photo’ allows images to be shot with a wider dynamic range.
It will provide rich and precise color expression for the photos. And that it will be achieved by reproducing both glaring lights and dark shadows that were likely to be overexposed or underexposed. On the other hand, HLG Photos are produced as an HSP file. The user can playback these vibrant images on the latest Panasonic HLG-compliant 4KTV via HDMI cable connection or other HLG-compliant devices.
While talking about the main features, the Panasonic Lumix S1R is a full frame mirrorless camera. It features a 47MP sensor, 4K resolution, double card slots, dual image stabilization and 3-way tilt able LCD screen.
Whereas, the Panasonic S1 has a 24-megapixel sensor and have other features which S1R has. These cameras are partnering with Leica for the lenses, as part of the L Mount Alliance. The company says that, at launch, there will be three lenses: 50mm f/1.4 prime, 25-105mm standard zoom and 70-200mm telephoto zoom.
