The company is taking its fitness-focused smartwatches in a more premium direction with its new Marq line. The Garmin’s Marq GPS Smartwatches are series of luxury watches that will cost from $1,500 to $2,500. Well, there are five Garmin’s Marq GPS Smartwatches are in the line. While the each is meant to fill a diverse role where customary timepieces would typically live, including driving, piloting a plane, boating, and hiking.
According to Garmin, the Marq series is all about offering specific feature sets in unique luxury watches. It’s an interesting approach. All five watches have features that are intended for a specific function.
Garmin’s Marq GPS Smartwatches
Besides the Garmin’s Marq GPS Smartwatches offers different features, but there are some common features as well. They include an always-on, sunlight-readable display with GPS, built-in music storage and Garmin Pay. While the other offerings are the smart notifications, daily activity tracking, a rechargeable battery good for 12-48 hours use, and heart rate and Pulse OX oxygen sensor.
Now coming to the Garmin’s Marq GPS Smartwatches specifications, the MARQ Aviator has aviation maps, plus “Nexrad Weather Radar, airport information and Garmin cockpit integration.” On the other hand, the MARQ Driver, with a titanium and silicone band, comes loaded with maps for 250 famous race tracks. It has “auto lap splits, live delta time and a track timer.
While considering the MARQ Captain, it is a maritime watch, has a regatta timer bezel, and shows wind speed, tide and temperature. It also comes with a port conditions watch face, can show coastal charts and can aid in tack assist.
Then comes the MARQ Expedition connects with Garmin’s separately sold satellite communicator, InReach Mini, plus “TOPO mapping, a built-in altimeter, barometer and compass, plus ClimbPro. This gives the real-time information on current and upcoming climbs such as gradient, distance and elevation gain. Last not the least the MARQ Athlete is the closest to Garmin’s other fitness watches, with VO2 Max readouts and recovery on the watch face, “running dynamics,” and pulse oximetry readings.
