Apple is a reputed company known for the data security it offers to its customers. However, there have been moments of breach of data security and this is something which is a cause of concern for the Apple fraternity.
In recent news, a teenager of Australian origin has pleaded guilty to hacking into the systems of Apple. He stole precious customer data in the tune of almost 90 gigabytes.

The famed 16-year-old is also guilty for having penetrated into Apple’s systems many times over the past one year. He even stored the hacking related instructions in a folder on his laptop. The folder was named as “hacky hack hack”. Apple managed to track down and report him over to the FBI. The local court said that the Teenager managed to break into Apple’s systems and steal more than 90 gigabytes worth of precious data.
The court hearing was reported by a local Australian newspaper at a Melbourne based children’s court in Melbourne. The court asked Apple to issue a statement to their users stating regarding data breach and safety of data. The teenager made use of a system which consisted of many “computerized tunnels and online bypassing systems.”
He even managed to download secure files and also managed to access a number of customer accounts based on the instructions he followed on his laptop. The hack was easily detected by Apple who took the matter up to the FBI. FBI then passed on the case to the local authorities in Australia. The court said that the accused has pleaded guilty and the hearing for his sentence will be carried out on 20th September.
The lawyer representing the teenager said that the accused targeted Apple. because as he is a keen admirer of the tech giant and dreams of working for it one single. He is also a household name in the global hacking community.
Apple said that the company will continue to prevent such hacks. As their team of IT security professionals will do whatever it takes to protect their networks.
