After the folding phones, now we have folding laptops as well. Lenovo foldable ThinkPad X1 laptop is the first foldable PC prototype. Lenovo has been developing this for over three years and has plans to launch a finished device in 2020 as part of its premium ThinkPad X1 brand. The 13.3-inch screen laptop on fold, reduced into the size of a compact notebook. So, when it’s folded up, it’s just 9.6 inches and looks like a paper notebook. A pen even attaches to the outside.

Lenovo predicts a range of use cases including using it folded into a book to check social media pages. On the other hand, Lenovo is taking a more cautious approach with this device by showing a prototype.

The company says that, he has been working on this PC for the past three years. And Lenovo has planned to deliver in 2020. Alongside, it will carry Lenovo’s premium ThinkPad X1 branding. With a few details available other than folding ability, that it has OLED display.

Besides that the screen will be 13.3-inches across, 4:3 aspect ratios, a 2K resolution and supports an included Wacom pen.  Other than this, Lenovo foldable ThinkPad X1 laptop will have inbuilt Windows 10 and an Intel chip.

Lenovo says that it weighs in less than 2 pounds while the battery is deliberately placed on the right side of the device to weigh it down when used in laptop mode. There are a few ways to use this foldable laptop. You can unfold it completely and use the built-in kickstand on the rear to keep the screen standing up, then connect a Bluetooth keyboard to the device to use it like a traditional laptop. The Bluetooth keyboard will come with the final product, but it’s unclear if there will be a way to store it conveniently.

While, the other specs includes a stereo speakers, an infrared camera, and two USB-C ports. Lenovo also said it will offer an “all-day battery,” as well. , so we’ll just have to wait and see. We also know this device will be powered by an Intel processor.
