As the tech companies are focusing on gaming laptops, Lenovo’s latest 9th-gen Intel Core gaming laptops is the latest addition. Well recently the company has announced two new gaming laptops, while it has refreshed some models in its Legion series. Besides those gaming sensations, the there are some non gaming laptop as well.
Lenovo announced refreshes of its Legion Y540, Legion Y7000, Legion Y740, and IdeaPad L340 that all include the new processors.
Lenovo’s 9th-gen Intel Core Gaming Laptops
Lenovo this time launches multiple products among the three latest laptops; two are specifically made for the gaming purpose. Among them, he Legion Y740 still sits at the top, offering up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 with Max-Q along with up to a 9th-gen Core i7. It comes in 15- and 17-inch models and an option for a 144Hz 1080p display, and today, Lenovo is also introducing an option with a GTX 1660 Ti GPU.
according to company, Lenovo Legion notebook has three unique features namely; Dual-Direct GFX dual-mode enhanced display, TSI frost blade cooling system, and Fn+Q one-button beast mode. The TSI frost blade cooling system has a heat pipe with a diameter of up to 8mm. This has led to an increase in the heat transfer area by 78% and a reduction in the irregular fan cover noise by 10%.
While talking about other gaming device, it is the IdeaPad L340 Gaming laptop is a little more budget-friendly. It features a blue lighting and options to switch between Gaming and Quiet modes. It’s compatible with NVIDIA’s new GeForce GTX 1650 GPU and features Dolby Audio, while Intel Optane memory is available as an option. The L340 will be available late May, starting at $870 for the 15-inch model and $920 for its 17-inch sibling.
The latest Y740 15-inch and 17-inch models, meanwhile, can pack a little more punch, as they’re both compatible with the RTX 2080 Max-Q or GTX 1660 Ti GPUs. They’ll ship late next month, with the 15-inch model starting at $1,610, while the 17-inch version will cost from $1,670.
There’s also a new Y7000 on the way. The system has red lighting and a 15-inch full HD, IPS antiglare display with up to 144 Hz refresh rate and 300 nits of brightness. It will work with up to the RTX 2060 or GTX 1660 Ti GPUs. Lenovo will reveal pricing and availability later.
