Well another revolutionary technology break through is the new mind reading system. With the now scantiest can translate the thoughts into speech. For many years, researchers have been trying to find a system, where they can translate or convert brain signals directly to speech. According to science language its calls as cutting out the muscles we actually use to speak. The new mind reading system will give a tongue to those who don’t have

A new technique could go a long way toward transforming brain activity into synthesized speech. But it will be a foundation stone to truly restore the gift of gab to those who’ve lost the ability to talk.

Brain Signals Into Synthesized Speech

According to the research, People with neurological conditions who lose the ability to speak can still send the brain signals used for speech (such as the lips, jaw and larynx), and UCSF researchers might just use that knowledge to bring voices back.

So, The Neuroscientists came up with a brain machine interface that can turn those brain signals into mostly recognizable speech. Instead of trying to read thoughts, the machine learning technology picks up on individual nerve commands and translates those to a virtual vocal tract that approximates the intended output.

Instead of trying to translate brain activity directly into sounds, the researchers convert the neural signals into the movements a person’s vocal tract uses to create those sounds digitally. The result is artificial speech that’s closer to the real thing, and at a pace that begins to approach a normal rate of conversation.

This time, the system is far from perfect at the moment. It says that an average of 69 percent of words can be properly understood, from given 25 options to pick from.  So, the focus on simulating the vocal tract has lead to a significant step forward in accuracy. But the researchers are positive, and they said, “Still, the levels of accuracy we produced here would be an amazing improvement in real-time communication compared to what’s currently available.”
