Muse 2 is a multi-sensor meditation device. It provides real-time feedback on your brain activity, heart rate, breathing, and body movements to help you build a consistent meditation practice. Muse’s first headband, was launched in 2014, converted this EEG signal into sounds reflecting the real-time state of your brain.
The idea behind this device is that it would help you reach a deep relaxed state. But after some research and practical that for some people the only acoustic cues weren’t enough to “make them feel free from the outside world.
The Working
The Muse is an EEG device, which is used by neuroscience researchers around the world. This device uses an advanced signal processing to understand your mental activity to help guide you. When your mind is calm and settled, you hear peaceful weather. On the other hand, if there is chaos and mind is busy, then there will be different sound. Theses sound can be wild weather that cues you to bring your attention back to the device. The science behind Muse is pretty healthy; the neuro feedback has been used in the mental health field for over many years. And this technology is been the part of neuroscience research.
The Operative Part
Well the Muse connects to your mobile device via Bluetooth. Once connected, you can simply start the Muse Meditation app, by putting the headphones on ears, take a deep breath and close your eyes. Once your session is complete, you can review your results and track your progress.
