It seems that German Automaker is not leaving any corner behind, recently coming up with upgraded BMW 2020 8 series, now has unveiled another future car concept. BMW Vision M Next Concept is the pure and ideal concept of future cars models. It is a new, electrified two-door that previews the future of BMW’s battery-powered tomorrow. Launching in German city Munich, the Vision M Next Concept shares a lot of its styling details with the i8. But the latest BMW concept introduces what the company calls its “D+ACES” building blocks of the future.
BMW takes a sharp right turn away from this trend with the all-new Vision M Next concept. It explores what the future of cars will look like for enthusiasts who want to continue wrapping their leather-clad fingers around the steering wheel.
BMW Vision M Next Concept
With this new tech oriented fantastic concept, the car’s suite of next-generation technologies isn’t there to take over driving. Rather to connect driver and vehicle toward voraciously devouring the pavement ahead. Coming to the outlook, it looks pretty “Yeah’ like feeling, it distinguishes itself visually from the i8 with unique color blocking at both ends.
The front and rear portions of the vehicle, finished in a matte neon Thrilling Orange paint job, pop against the rest of the concept’s silk-matte Cast Silver metallic paintwork. Besides that, for look, wheels too catch the attraction. On the other hand, the front rims wear a traditional silver-and-black two-tone finish. While the rear sets use the same spoke design, but now with Thrilling Orange inserts to match the body.
Well, the most importantly, the iconic dual kidney grille carries over. It also hides Thrilling Orange inserts behind it. But the M Next Concept also marks the debut application of innovative Laser Wire light technology.
BMW describes the new light technology as, “a single wafer-thin glass fiber that produces an abstract ECG trace of a heartbeat fashioned with pin-sharp precision.”
For the real racers, and attitude drivers, the low-slung concept offers drivers the choice between all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive. The turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid powertrain outputs 600 horsepower and has a top speed of 186 miles an hour. On the other hand, this electric beauty will reach zero to 60 in about 3 seconds and has a pure EV range of 62 miles. More than enough to cover the daily commute of most folks with range to spare for a few errands.
BMW refers to its digital informational layout as a Boost Pod, conveying information and control via three layers: the HUD, the curved glass instrument panel and the steering wheel-integrated displays and controls. However, we think the real three tiers are the linear array of road, informational cluster and driver.
