Now, the wearables maker is finally patching that compatibility hole. The Vivoactive 3 Music watch now supports Spotify like the company’s other fitness watches already do. Spotify premium account users can download selected playlists, albums, and podcasts to the watch using Wi-Fi.

The company says that after some additional months of development, the Spotify app finally is available for the Vivoactive 3 Music. Support for the admired music streaming service first landed on Garmin’s Fenix watches before making it onto its Forerunner 645 Music.

Spotify and Garmin’s VivoActive 3 Music

With the Vivoactive 3 Music now getting the Spotify compatibility that completes the watches in the Garmin collection. Now they are able enough to offer support for the streaming music service. Other than this, Garmin’s VivoActive 3 Music has the facility to store up to 500 songs in all. With the user can listen to their collection offline as well. All they have to do is to create playlists, sync them with the watch through Wi-Fi. And after that user can have access to songs through the device’s Spotify app. That application is now available for download from Garmin’s Connect IQ store.

After the initial setup, no phone is required to listen to music. Once some music is synced over to the watch, owners can connect a pair of wireless earbuds and launch the Spotify app on the watch to access their offline racks. Users can control their music with the play, pause, shuffle, skip, and volume controls on their watches.

Garmin already offers Deezer and iHeartRadio support on several of its running watches, but users have been hankering for Spotify for a long while. And with Garmin adding more features that make its watches less dependent on the phone, like Garmin Pay, Spotify support marks a significant step forward in these ambitions.

Well besides this late addition, Garmin did not answer about; why it took time to roll out Spotify for the device.  As the, Fenix 5 Plus series and the Forerunner 645 Music models were launched in October 2018.
