As the social media becomes the fundamental way of communication, so exiting and new platforms are developing and making changes to attract the users. For instance, Google has made changes to its Duo calling to Duo group video calling facility. But the Google Duo group video calling is initially started in selected regions. Well, for the past several months, Google Duo has been working on group video calling, with the functionality spotted last year. The feature is now live in select countries, like Indonesia, with up to four participants currently supported.

Google is likely accessing the feature before making it widely available around the world. As part of this initial launch, group calling is only available on the Android app.

According to the official Google Indonesia Twitter account just announced the feature, with Duo head Justin Uberti confirming the launch. The announcement says that Duo adds a new “Create group” button underneath the search bar. Besides that, the existing groups are listed below and can be saved with a custom name for quick access.

Coming o its finality, the instructions says that by tapping, users can select up to three contacts. After that user will be asked to confirm that you want to initiate a call. In short, the video calling screen will divide as participants join the group, with up to four feeds appearing on the screen.

Confirming the launch in Indonesia, the official has not further reveal about the other regions or countries. Google just announced that the launch is currently for “select regions,” with Google Indonesia advertising it as a feature for contacting friends and family. On the other hand, after the feedback, the number of participants could possibly expand to eight users on a call.
