After the launch of Google Lens, many people and experts in market is talking about is functionality. As per latest news, Google Lens is still quite limited in what it can do before it points you to another app. But now Google Lens may add new filters and feature, like details of restaurants and translations as well. You might not have to lean on those other apps quite so often in the near future.
Well Google Lens may add new filters refer to a “dining” filter that would search nearby restaurants, including popular dishes. A “shopping” filter appears to focus on more generic goods.

As the covering the gap and to compete with its rivals, Google Lens could soon include a host of “filters” aimed at fulfilling specific augmented reality tasks. Besides that, there might be a “translate” filter, for instance, might auto-detect one language. It can also offer to change it to another instead of simply copying text and asking to launch Google Translate.
So, combining with the translation feature, it appears as if Google wants to offer a range of specialized searches instead of a one-size-fits-all function. Coming to functionality of Google Lens, according to the report, in the middle is a magnifying glass icon that’s likely for general search.
While, to the left is the aforesaid “Translate” filter that will likely focus Lens on translating foreign text into the chosen language. From past strings, these translation features are more advanced than the current implementation that just recognizes text and offers to open the Google Translate app.
With the further details of working, moving to right in the icon, it will search the identifying monuments, plants, animals, etc. Besides it includes the Shopping and Dining icons. On the other hand, the former most likely works to identify clothing and furniture, with results specifically tuned to product search. AR Shopping is another feature in development.
While concluding it, the idea behind the new features is to reducing users’ dependency on other apps. So, Google Lens attempts to become a one-stop solution for various search types.
