Tentsile Universe has introduced a five-person or family oriented Tent that’s made from hammock and it’s purely waterproof. Tentsile just announced its Universe tent, a “three-element” shelter that works as a ground tent, a suspended tree tent, and a floating, pontoon-style tent.

Land, Air and Water: It’s Every Where

The Tentsile Universe is a massive tent; covering 100 square feet of fully-covered floor space, which you can increase it to 195 square feet when you fit the built-in rain-fly. It has enough room to sleep up to five people, complete with extra room to accommodate their gear, so this is the kind of tent sized for individuals bringing their cars into the wild. Whether you want to be on dry place, hanging in trees, or floating on the river, you can be entirely without sleeping bag.

It’s a tent that you can turn into a tree house that you can turn into a water raft, so you can just push your tent from the shore to the lake to do some fishing in the morning. If you’ve been looking for ways to make camping even more fun, this looks like an easy way to do it, as it lets you set out onto the water without having to bring a separate boat along.

The founder and CEO Alex Shirley-Smith said, “One thing we enjoy at Tentsile is pushing boundaries, so we’re excited to unveil our newest offering “This world-first addresses the need to have an all-terrain; multi-use, fun-packed product that encourages both adventurous play and basic practical needs in any environment.”

When inclined as a tent or suspended among trees, the cover works much like any of the outfit’s other products. You get enough protection from the sun, rain, and the rest of the elements, complete with full mesh cover for keeping all the bugs outside. Three fold-able vestibules let you to enter and exit the tent from different sides; while a trapdoor on the floor lets you get in and out using any kind of ladder when it’s suspended like a hammock. Yes, that trapdoor isn’t sealed when floating, so you have a large hole in the middle of your watercraft where you can drop in straight to the water.

The Tentsile Universe’s big selling point, of course, is the fact that it pulls triple-duty as a functional watercraft. It has SUP-like design; the entire floor of the tent can be inflated, allowing it to drift on water.  While you can take it to the water with the tent walls in place, it certainly works better when you roll up the vestibules, allowing you to enjoy the sights while sitting being shielded from the sun.
