It seems that every laptop company is rushing towards to equip their devices with Intel’s latest Gen chips. Well, Lenovo is also in the race and its new ThinkPad X1 Carbon, the seventh generation of the hardware that Lenovo has released. Both ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga will features the Intel’s latest chips. Besides these, latest Lenovo’sThinkPadX390 and T490 will also come with the 10th-gen Intel chip. It means, it ensure faster, better performance across the board for Lenovo’s business laptops.
The new X1 laptops will be available in September. The X1 Carbon will start at $1,479 dollars and the Yoga will start at $1,609.
Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 Yoga
While, coming to details, the 7th-generation X1 Carbon FHD laptop has a battery life of 18.5 hours. And it seems the laptop improves upon the older model by more than four hours. The 14-inch display comes in a number of different options, including a new 400 nit FHD display. The latest X1 Carbon also includes a Dolby Atmos speaker system, with two top-firing tweeters and two down-firing woofers. It weighs in at 2.4 pounds, or roughly one kilogram.
Other than X1 Carbon, the X1 Yoga laptop features a new aluminum chassis that is made with both carbon fiber and magnesium. The fourth-generation Yoga is both thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Even though the chassis is thinner and it includes all the same legacy ports. It also includes support for all docking solutions, including ThinkPad Mechanical Dock.
Lastly, both Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga and ThinkPad X1 Carbon come with two USB 3.1 ports, HDMI out, and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the other hand, the X1 Yoga features one Thunderbolt 3 port, whereas the ThinkPad X1 Carbon packs two. Besides that, for display, the buyers will have the options to go for a 4K, a 1440p or 1080p screen with both Lenovo notebooks.
