The XT camera system from Phase One comes in three parts. Besides that there’s an IQ4 back, then there’s the camera body and out front one of three new lenses. On the other hand, camera system is target at landscape photographers, and is based around a new XT body.
The body is designed to be as lightweight as possible. Indeed, it’s billed as the most compact digitally integrated field camera to date. The XT system is priced at US$56,990.
Phase One XT Camera System
Well, after this the medium format shooting will have an additional power. The Danish medium format specialist Phase One is hitting back at its rivals, not just with a new camera but a fresh system. While, speaking of its specs, the camera body serves as a connection point between existing IQ4 backs working on the company’s Infinity platform. Currently it has IQ4 150MP, IQ4 150MP Achromatic and IQ4 100MP Trichromatic – and a fresh line of Rodenstock-branded lenses.
On the other hand, the company has introduced three of these so far. They are Rodenstock HR Digaron-S 23mm f/5.6, Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 32mm f/4 and Rodenstock HR Digaron-W 70mm f/5.6. Whereas, each of which has been equipped with an electromagnetic “X-shutter” shutter mechanism.
Phase One’s official Drew Altdoerffer says, “The XT Camera System is designed to elevate both your creativity and image quality by providing the best possible components, in the smallest possible package with intuitive controls, all of which allows you to focus on the moment.”
On the system bases, it is made up of either a 150 MP Achromatic or 100 MP Trichromatic IQ4 camera back. On the other hand, the camera body specifically created for this system, and one of three lenses fitted with an electromagnetic X-Shutter and made by partner Rodenstock.
The lenses offer 24 mm of shift movement on the X/Y axes. Therefore it allows the photographer to correct perspective distortion, but can also be used to create high resolution panoramas.
