Now the console will correctly sync with iOS devices, giving iPhone and iPad users the ability to play game with the PS4 Remote Play app. The Remote Play is a wonderful service from Sony that lets you stream your favorite PS4 games to another device. Besides all goodness of the Remote Play, but there is one drawback as well, and that is users cannot use the DualShock 4 controller with an iPhone or iPad.
Before coming to iOS, PS4 Remote Play was used on the Xperia smartphones. On the other hand, Remote play setting is very easy and simple. User will download the Remote Play app on their iPhone or iPad, and sign in using the PlayStation Network account to connect the two.
Remote Play to iPhone and iPad
Well for ultimate gaming experience, user needs a controller. The best way to play PS4 games is with a controller, but, Apple is not allowing its users to connect a DualShock 4 controller to the iOS device. So, don’t worry user can use an MFi controller. Or rather user can use the virtual controls you see on screen.
The setup is as simple as updating your PS4, downloading the app and pairing the two. The on-screen controls are overlaid onto the image, and like many mobile games, will almost certainly play better with a third-party controller.
User won’t be able to use Remote Play over a cellular connection, so they will need to be connected to Wi-Fi, preferably the same network as your PS4 if possible. You will also need to be running iOS 12.1 or later.
Compatible iOS devices include the iPhone 7 or later, the sixth-generation iPad, and the second-generation iPad Pro or later gen.
