ASUS revealed an idea that was both strange yet thought-provoking at the same time. The ASUS Precog took Lenovo’s dual-screen laptop idea to its logical next step by making both sides equal-sized touch-sensitive screens. ASUS is giving the fans with two laptops of the future the ZenBook Duo. While, ZenBook Pro Duo is with two 4K screens top and bottom.
On the other hand, The Asus ZenBook Pro Duo laptop has two screens. These new devices are premium products that take the company’s previous secondary touchscreen trackpad idea to a whole new level.
Asus ZenBook Pro Duo Laptop
Besides the regular but innovative ZenBook Pro, Asus is also launched its premium laptop ZenBook Duo with a 14-inch NanoEdge FHD display and a 12.6-inch FHD ScreePad Plus. Well, the ZenBook Duo is considerably lighter than the Pro variant (2.5 kg) and is powered by an Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce MX250 graphics.
On the other hand, rests of the specifications are more or less the same as the ZenBook Pro Duo with a few differences in I/O connectivity. The ZenBook Duo features a Thunderbolt 3 port, two USB-A ports, a headphone jack, and a full-sized HDMI port.
Other than these, Unlike the Touch Bar, though, the ScreenPad Plus doesn’t take anything away from the ZenBook Pro Duo, except presumably battery life. Asus still included a full-sized keyboard with a function row. It includes including an escape key, and the trackpad is located directly to the right.
The ZenBook Duo does not come with a bundled stylus and the battery capacity is slightly lesser at 70Wh. The Asus ZenBook Duo series could finally be the laptops that can actually put a secondary display to good use. It will be interesting to see how creative professionals receive these notebooks and we look forward to reviewing them ourselves.
