Well, IFA 2019 is about to happen and companies around the world are going to display their best devices. And for the show, LG has decided to showcase its K50S and K40S mid-range phones. Before the conference, the tech giant recently shared the full specifications of both devices along with a few images. For the marketing strategy, The “S” in the phones is clue to LG’s strategy for the second half of 2019. The LG K50 and LG K40 are phones that the company launched way back at MWC 2019 in February.

Between the two new mid-range devices, the LG K50S is the more premium one, featuring three cameras, a larger screen, and a bigger battery.

For both of the flagships, they have the same 2.0GHz octa-core processor, which will most likely be the Mediatek MT6762 Helio P22. While, talking about the LG K50S, the phone features a 6.5-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio HD+ FullVision display with triple rear camera and a 4000mAh battery.

Besides that there is a rear camera is comprised of a 13-megapixel main sensor with PDAF, a 5-megapixel super-wide angle lens and a 2-megapixel depth sensor, while the front also sports a 13-megapixel lens in a tear drop notch. There’s 3GB of RAM supporting the octa-core processor, 32GB of internal storage and microSD for storage expansion up to 2TB.

On the other hand, the LG K40S is equipped with 6.1-inch 19.5:9 aspect ratio HD+ Full-Vision display, coupled with a dual rear camera and a 3500mAh battery. It has the same camera specifications as the K50S but it misses out on the depth sensor.

Other than this specs, two phones include a dedicated Google Assistant button, fingerprint sensors on the back. Besides that they have AI CAM, DTS:X 3D Surround Sound, and MIL-STD 810G compliance. Both smartphones also share the same color options, namely Moroccan Blue and New Aurora Black.
