Rokit’s Io 3D and Io Pro 3D are newly launched phones. And both the phones offer glasses-free 3D without the expense that usually comes with the tech. Both the Rokit IO 3D and the Rokit IO 3D Pro feel well built and look good enough but they’re constructed mostly from plastic. So don’t feel quite as luxurious as some rivals. And although the displays have a tall, narrow 18:9 aspect ratio, they’re not edge-to-edge displays and have thick bezels at both the top and bottom edges.
On the other hand, both phones are SIM-free and unlocked and come with three months of Rokit’s “ROK Life Services Ultimate package”. This comprises AA-style roadside assistance for your car.
Rokit’s Io 3D and Io Pro 3D
Coming to technical features, The Io 3D centers on a 5.45-inch, 1,440 x 720 display, a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, a rear 8-megapixel camera and a front 2-megapixel cam. It has a 2,500mAh battery.
On the other hand, moving to the Io Pro 3D, this 3 D phone has larger 6-inch 2,160 x 1,080 display. Alongside that the phone has an eight-core 2GHz MediaTek chip, with 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage. Now it’s time for a camera, Rokits’s Io Pro 3D, is with a hybrid 13MP and 2MP rear camera system and a front 8MP shooter.
At 8.4mm thick, it’s also a little over the now-standard sub-8mm thickness for a lot of smartphones and consequently feels a little bulky. But hey, it does house a 3850mAh battery, which does compare favorably with other budget smartphones. The 1080p screen should help the battery last over a day.
While the other features to appreciate, there are some good things about the IO Pro 3D design though, and not just the 3D display. On the rear, there’s a fingerprint sensor and 13MP dual-lens cameras, and on the top there’s a headphone jack. An additional nice touch is the ABS Hard Shell Protective Case that’s included in the box to protect the phone when you’re out and about.
