The latest offering in the gaming laptop arena is Samsung Notebook Odyssey 2019. This laptop is a power-packed portable designed for ‘serious gamers’ in the company’s own words. Besides other specs, the hardware is packed into an “Aluminum True Metal” chassis. While the cooling system has been redesigned in the line to keep components cooler while playing games and over-clocking.
The new Notebook Odyssey has a premium aluminum design. It is with a slim chassis at 19.9mm, weighs 2.36kg. Besides that, equally slim bezel surrounds the 15.6-inch Full HD display.

Coming to its display and specs, the Samsung Notebook Odyssey has some pretty impressive specs, as it’s been outfitted with a 15.6-inch full HD display running at 144Hz. It’s a G-Sync enabled display as well, which of course means that there’s a NVIDIA card at the heart of this machine. More specifically, the Notebook Odyssey gets its graphics capabilities from a GeForce RTX 2060.
As far as the card is concern, the graphics card is working in tandem with a hexa-core Intel Core i7-8750H, 16GB of RAM, and a 54Wh battery. Top it all off with a 256GB SSD and a 1TB HDD combo and we’ve certainly got ourselves a gaming laptop on our hands. On the other hand, Odyssey supports the latest graphics tech, including real-time Ray Tracing, AI and programmable shading.
This laptop features several functions design for gaming and gaming modes. There’s Odyssey Mode, which is designed to saves settings presets for specific games. Alongside that, it has a Beast Mode which regulates performance per application and Black Equalizer improves in-game lighting. Some of these settings are not common among gaming laptops, but Black Equalizer is the most intriguing.
The Samsung Notebook Odyssey will be available through both Amazon and Samsung.com from 24 May. The Samsung Note Odyssey will be available in $1,999.99, as the pre orders start from 17 May
