Sony has announced a follow-up to its tiny strong camera from 2017, the RX0, and it’s just as tough and handy. The Sony’s new RX0 II action camera has a 15.3-megapixel sensor and a Zeiss Tessar T 24mm F4 fixed wide-angle lens. It also has a 20-cm minimum focus distance for scenic shots. Besides that, the camera has in-built stabilization, an upright microphone and a flip-up screen for selfie shooting.  All these features makes t it a super-portable waterproof pocket video camera with some neat stills shooting ability.

Sony’s new RX0 II is very similar in size to its predecessor, with a 2.3in x 1.59in x 1.38in body that weighs just 132 grams. However, it’s a lot more selfie-friendly, due to an adjustable LCD screen that can flip 180 degrees upward and 90 degrees down.

The lens is a 24mm equivalent f/4.0 Zeiss Tessar T, offering wide-angle shooting with a minimum focusing distance of just 20 cm (7.8 in).

In terms of video, the RX0 II can shoot 4K video at 30 fps, includes a microphone jack, and has in-body electronic stabilization that’s even usable in handheld mode. For the photographer, who wanted a slow motion, Sony provides the camera with a 1,000-fps recording mode with uncompressed 4K HDMI output. The RX0 II also supports S-Log2 for more flexibility in post-processing.

There is another support feature, if you’re working on a project that requires multiple cameras. Sony’s Imaging Edge Mobile application will give you the power to control up to five RX0 II cameras at once.
