Well it says that who wants Range Rover when there is 2019 BMW X7. Because BMW’s new SUV has better tech and level of comfort and luxury. The new X7 fortunately, is very spacious inside and offers seven seats as standard, with the option of six seats if wanted. That’s not to say those extra two seats over a five-seater are only meant for children. The X7 offered a plush ride, not only that, you can add more sportiness with just a few button presses.
According to automobiles reports, the new 2019 BMW X7 is the German automaker’s first direct competitor to models like the full-size Range Rover and Mercedes-Benz GLS-Clas. BMW does offer an xOffroad package, raising the X7’s ground clearance, adding an off-road specific differential lock, front skid plate and under guard, and user-selectable off-road modes.

Like all others BMW’s SUVs, the 2019 X7 has got the handsome exterior. The standout element is a massive grille that dominates the front end. The BMW X7 stretches that to 122 inches to allow ultimate space. It got the second and third-row passengers, but the longer wheelbase also helps with a more comfortable and luxurious ride.
This X7 also comes equipped with BMW’s optional Driving Assistance Professional package. This offers up a whole host of safety systems, including active lane-keep assist, automatic lane change assist and adaptive cruise control with stop-and-go function.
Coming to the interior, the driver will have 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Now in its seventh generation, the iDrive infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, but not Android Auto. On the other hand, The X7 features six USB ports, two for each row –and wireless phone charging and WiFi are both standard. In addition to these, it offers an optional rear seat entertainment system places two 10.2-inch touch-screens on the backs of the front seats.
The Engine
2019 BMW X7 is available with two choices of engine selection; the basic model, base xDrive40i has a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine and starts at $74,895.While, the second option is the xDrive50i has a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8, and starts at $93,595.
The other features of engine are, the xDrive40i model’s 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six produces 335 horsepower and 330 pound-feet of torque. And according to BMW it will hit the 30 mph from zero in just 5.8 second. It seems that these figures show that X7 is quicker than a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 Mercedes-Benz GLS450. Not only that, or a Range Rover equipped with the base 3.0-liter supercharged V6.
On the other hand, the upgrade to the X7 xDrive50i, with 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 gives 456 hp and 579 lb-ft of torque. It reaches the Zero to 60 mph takes 5.2 seconds. Both the 4.7-liter twin-turbocharged V8 Mercedes-Benz GLS550 and 5.0-liter supercharged V8 version of the Range Rover will match that.
