On the other hand, the car offers upgraded four-cylinder Eco-Boost model, with turbocharged 2.3-liter engine. That engine is inline-four exhumed from the defunct Ford Focus RS, along with trans-formative racetrack hardware.
Besides that the package swaps the base Eco-Boost spec engine for a detuned version of the 2.3-liter unit that powered the all-wheel-drive Focus RS.

The current Mustang standard turbo four-banger makes 310 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. For comparison, the fourth-gen Mustang GT, with its 4.6-liter V-8, maxed out at 260 ponies and 302 lb-ft. Other than this, on power terms, the HPP Mustang pushes out peak torque between 2,500 and 5,300 rpm. Even better, the torque curve is flat from 3,000 to 4,000 rpm, and the engine can produce 90% of its horsepower at a sustained 6,500-rpm redline.
Coming to price, The High Performance package costs $4995. It makes for an entry point of $32,760 for a manual-equipped coupe. The convertible equivalent costs $38,260, and the optional 10-speed automatic adds $1595 to either body style.
