The Veloster N is the first American ambassador for Hyundai’s performance sub-brand and already the company’s best-driving model ever. Its whimsical three-door design is derived from the base Veloster, but its animated turbo four-cylinder and terrific chassis tuning are N exclusives. The 2019 Veloster N is the first U.S.-bound and second global market vehicle from Hyundai’s N Performance brand.
While the N stands for Namyang. car has assured body control, faithful steering, and steadfast brakes. Which revealed the Veloster N’s legitimate hot-hatch greatness is impressive. On the other hand you have to wait till November to get the ride.
The Design
The Design is inspired by the legendary curves of Nürburgring. The remarkable N logo is stamped throughout the Veloster, including the cascade grille, front brakes, side skirts, gauge cluster, and shift knob. The design also improves performance: from the front fascia’s brake-cooling vents to the carbon fiber-tipped spoiler, high-flow exhausts, and integrated diffuser in the rear. On the Side you’ll find a number of N-exclusive features, such as bolstered sport seats, contrast stitching, and a steering wheel with N mode and rev-match buttons.
The Power
While coming to the power performance, drivers have multiple drive modes to choose. You can choose a mode through the touch screen or steering wheel. The new Veloster N has four modes: like Normal, Eco, Sport, or track-focused N. Besides that drive can customize his own mode by calibrating each tunable performance setting from suspension to throttle response. The car has electronically controlled limited slip differential (E-LSD) uses true torque vectoring to intelligently and precisely distribute torque where it’s needed most. This increases cornering speed and reduces under steer for enhanced handling agility. The high-performance 235/35 R19 Pirelli P-Zero Summer tires were made exclusively for the Veloster N. Tires have tread pattern and nano-composite compound were specifically tailored for optimal grip, lateral stability, and stopping power.
The engine is 275-HP 2.0 L turbocharged inline four with 260 lb-ft of torque unleashes highly responsive, maximum-output thrills across the RPM spectrum. Driver can hit the throttle and launch control gives an energizing boost off the line. With its smoother downshifts, automatic rev-matching helps to get the most out of the short-throw six-speed manual. Further enhancing the experience, a shift timing indicator alerts you to an approaching redline for peak acceleration.
