Jaguar has unveiled the US-spec 2020 Jaguar F-Type Checkered Flag Limited Edition. This F-Type is available in both coupe and convertible variants. This Checkered flag limited edition gives Jaguar’s sports car a little more style and a choice of two different engines. The new model is basically a dress-up package with special exterior and interior styling elements to make it unique from other F-Type models.
Based on the R-Dynamic model, the Checkered Flag Limited Edition is available in three colors. These colors are Caldera Red, Fuji White, and Carpathian Gray.
F-Type Checkered Flag Limited Edition
The interior has standard “performance” seats with checkered flags embossed on their headrests, and a checkered-flag logo on the steering wheel. The center console is trimmed in dark brushed aluminum, and a 10.0-inch infotainment touch-screen and a Meridian audio system are standard equipment. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard on all F-Type models for 2020.
The exterior changes begin with a contrasting black roof for coupe models. Similarly, the otherwise-optional Exterior Black Design Pack is included as standard kit for the Checkered Flag Limited Edition, which adds extended side sills to the exterior. The special model rides on exclusive 20-inch wheels that are, predictably, also adorned with black trim.
“Perfect proportions, design purity and visual drama – every Jaguar must express these qualities, and none more so than F-Type,” said Ian Callum, Jaguar’s director of design. “In creating the Checkered Flag Limited Edition we’ve focused on details which enhance the presence of the F-Type and promise of performance – and in doing so, made a fitting celebration of 70 years of beautiful, fast, Jaguar sports cars.”
The Engine
For the Engine, the customers have two choice regarding the type and power of the engine. First F-Type’s base engine, which is a 296-horsepower 2.0-liter I4 and other is the 380-horsepower supercharged V6. Both have eight-speed automatic transmissions. But on disappointed note, you can’t get this limited edition in conjunction with the F-Type’s righteous 5.0-liter supercharged V8. The I4 variant has rear-wheel drive, while the V6 gains all-wheel drive.
