Audi has been very eager to show off its first series-produced electric car, the 2019 E-Tron U.S. But the vehicles differed in key ways from what U.S. customers get. The Pricing starts at $75,795 for the base Premium Plus trim level, rising to $82,795 for the Prestige trim level (both prices include a mandatory $995 destination charge. So, the base Premium Plus trim comes with a long list of standard features that will easily satisfy most shoppers. The optional Driver Assistance package adds the advanced safety features that are standard on the Prestige trim.

The 2019 Audi e-tron has a lot going for it. Besides that, the e-tron benefits from acceleration that is smooth, silent and swift. On top of that, the e-tron presents important advantages such as a large cargo area and a refined interior.

The Interior

While coming Inside, the 2019 e tron has benefits of electric drivetrain packaging that puts a motor on each axle. As there is no mechanical link between the two, hence it provides more space inside. Not only is there room for five, but those in the back won’t feel too cramped; cut-outs in the foot-well mean their knees won’t be up by their ears, either. Besides that, there’s space for their luggage, too, courtesy of 28.5 cubic feet of cargo volume. That rises to 57 cu-ft with the rear seats folded.

For this edition, Audi has avoids its usual Premium entry-level trim, in favor of only offering Premium Plus and Prestige trims. That means drivers get power leather seats with heating and ventilation as standard, along with a Bang & Olufsen 3D audio system.

Alongside that the car has navigation on the twin-touchscreen infotainment system, a power tailgate, Virtual Cockpit instrumentation. The r-tron features a 360-degree camera, four-zone climate control, wireless CarPlay with wireless phone charging, and a panoramic sunroof. Other addition includes Alexa and live parking information integrated into the dashboard, along with support for the automaker’s smartphone app.

The Power

Well, the Electrify America was created to spend $2 billion of diesel-emissions cheating penalties from Audi parent Volkswagen, and it’s using some of that money to install the most powerful charging stations currently available. Audi claims the E-Tron is the only vehicle on sale capable of using those 150 kW stations, allowing for an 80-percent recharge in 30 minutes. Audi also claims the chargers at Electrify America stations will stay at max power longer, ensuring the fastest possible recovery of range.

Like many other electric cars, the E-Tron has a battery pack running the length of its floor. The 95-kWh pack sends power to two electric motors with one powering each axle.

According to Audi, The two motors produce a combined 355 horsepower, but that can be temporarily increased in “Boost Mode” to 402 hp. In Boost Mode, the E-Tron will do zero to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 124 mph.
