‘Fast and Furious’ movies are super popular, and it’s easy to see why. They are action packed, they feature some of the latest most expensive cars, and they also feature high octane Hollywood stars too. They are the right recipe for car movies, not to mention they are super successful too. Which brings the question, what type of impact do these movies have on people?

Aside from making a lot of people hurdle to theaters, it seems that the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies are also increasing the number of people that want to drive faster. According to a study created by the New York Times, it seems that within 3 weeks of release for each of the franchise’s movies there was an increase in speeding tickets with around 20%. And that tends to happen regularly, as soon as a new ‘Fast and Furious’ movie arrives on the big screen.

Why does this happen? It’s hard to say, but maybe the important thing to note is that people just love action movies and they want to mimic what they see on the screen. Even people that don’t drive at high speeds tend to be influenced by the movie. This goes to show that this movie franchise is more than just a popcorn flick, something that you see in the cinema and go away. It’s a lot of fun to see how fast they drive into the movie.

But when you translate something like this in real life, you are bound to deal with issues. It’s safe to say though that these movies are insanely popular. People love the characters offered by the franchise, and they enjoy everything related to it. Which is why it makes sense to have at least some of the audience mimicking what they see in the movie. But what they don’t realize is that this is not a movie (where these stunts are heavily coordinated), they are driving fast in real life, and thus they are putting a lot of people in danger.

Which is exactly why you should never mimic what you see in a movie. In the end, the most important thing regarding the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise is that you see those movies to have fun. But the fact that there are more speeding tickets goes to show that people are heavily invested in the franchise. That’s a very good thing, and that’s why they are continually making more and more of these movies.

This may be a shock to some people, but in the end, it’s understandable why such a massive movie franchise can lead to this type of real-life issues. In the end though, ‘Fast and Furious’ movies are great to enjoy and have fun, and the best part is that you can always try out new stuff and check them out. They are unique in their own right, and having people so heavily invested in the characters and action is something that not a lot of franchises can be proud of!
