Spanish automaker Hispano Suiza is returning to production with a “hyperlux” electric car inspired by the incredible art deco 1938 Dubonnet Xenia. The car will be called the Carmen, in reference to Carmen Mateu, the granddaughter of Damián Mateu, who founded Hispano-Suiza in 1904. Hispano-Suiza Hyperlux Electric Car is most iconic and stunning outlook. The car is introduced in Geneva Motor Show.
Well it says that Italian where Koenigsegg made his latest car a tribute to his father. So, the neighbor Spanish Suqué Mateu has dedicated Hispano-Suiza new electric car to the mother.
Hispano-Suiza Hyperlux Electric Car
Hispano-Suiza Hyperlux Electric Car or Carmen is the first electric car or hyper car made by the Barcelona based company. The company is showing the car as the forerunner of a new “hyperlux” segment in the “cars for really rich people” market. The car is with Hypercar-adjacent performance, superb luxurious design and expensive to make the car distinct.
The Carmen is a full electric powertrain, equipped with two motors for a rear-wheel-drive 750 kilowatts, or 1,019 horsepower. Therefore, such power of electric engine makes the Carmen to reach from 0-100 kmh (0-62 mph) in less than three seconds.
The electric hyper car’s top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph. this seems to be which perfect speed to attempt in real-world driving. According to Hispano Suiza, the 80kW CCS charging will deliver a 30-80% rapid charge in less than half an hour, with CHAdeMO and GB/T charging compatibility also included.
The Carmen’s battery is designed around quantity rather than capacity. Taking up 560 liters of precisely-positioned space designed to help the car imitate the weight balance of a mid-rear engined supercar. On the other hand, the Carmen has also been designed to be ready for improvements in lithium-ion battery technology. After that it expects efficiency to go up from 230Wh/kg to 300Wh/kg in the future, increasing the prospect of a 105kWh battery with even more range.
