The Design

Being a sports edition, the Peugeot 508 Hybrid Concept sits lower and wider has a bespoke aero parts but no rear spoiler. The car has new 20-inch wheels show off new brake parts, and contrasting details have been added in “Kryptonite” green. There is much space inside, the car has new leather, with half-Alcantara trim and reshaped details in the ceiling, pillars and doors.  Besides that, coming to the infotainment, the Peugeot’s familiar ‘i-Cockpit’ virtual dials make a manifestation. The sports car has a 10-inch HD touchscreen and 12.3-inch head up display panel.

Now the exterior look, Peugeot 508 Hybrid Concept is redesigned for the sports edition. Firstly the front bumper is with a 3D-printed valance under it, as well as a new rear diffuser for added down force. On the other hand, the flaps and winglets have developed from the quarter panels, while the car is finished in a special paint shade, Selenium Grey.

The Power

The approach of Peugeot’s recently-released 508 is a sporty one. The ultimate spec for this sports one is the Peugeot Sport DNA and several motors, both gasoline and electric. The dual combustion process makes the Peugeot 508 Hybrid Concept is unique car.

While talking about the engine and its concept, the 508 has a “PureTech” 200-horsepower 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo engine. The best thing is the dual electric motors to make it a hybrid edition as well. The electric motor rise up front develops 107 hp while the one at the back puts out an additional 201 hp. While the combined output stands at about 505 hp. But t the hybrid power-train cannot offer the peak outputs simultaneously, so in reality, the electrified setup offers a constant output in the real world of approximately 400 hp.

Peugeot says that it will produce torque of 500 Newton-meters (369 pound-feet), which make the Peugeot 508 Hybrid Concept to hit the 62 mph (100 kph) in only 4.3 seconds. Not only that, the car reaches the top speed of 155 mph (250 kph) as well. Having an electric motor at the back enables the concept to offer all-wheel drive, while the 11.8-kWh battery pack has enough juice for a pure electric range of 31 miles (50 kilometers).
